Our Early Years Curriculum.
Our curriculum in Nursery and Reception has been developed to ensure that children reach their full potential. We have planned a curriculum which has been based upon the findings of 'Bold Beginnings'. It incorporates skill development that is appropriate for the age of the child and prepares them to develop their fine motor skills in preparation for writing. We also focus on developing children's reading and mathematical skills.
In order to develop a creative curriculum, we enhance provision and based other areas of learning upon children's interests. This is gathered through daily observations of children. We feel that children are fully engaged in learning that they are interested in and begin to apply skills which have been taught through child-initiated play.

Please see below our half-termly plans for Reception class. These are built upon and are reflective of children's interests. Additional enhancements are placed into provision following observations of children's interests to encourage the use and support child-led learning through play.
